Privacy Policy

The short version

We will never sell your information, and we will never share it with anyone for their own purposes — not advertisers, not data brokers, not other teams. The only exceptions are the service providers who run leaguify for us, all named below, and disclosure the law requires of us.

Children do not have accounts here. Information about a player is entered by their team’s staff, and public rosters show a first name and last initial. A team can put its whole page behind a gate so only approved people ever see it.

Who this covers

leaguify is used by three kinds of people: staff — the managers and coaches who run a team; viewers — parents and players who have been granted access to a team page; and visitors to a public team page. This policy covers all three, and applies to leaguify.io and every team page hosted on it.

What we collect

Staff accounts. Your name, email address, the teams you belong to and your role on each. Passwords are held by our identity provider and are never visible to us.
What your team enters. Schedules, rosters, lineups, scores, practice plans, video links, posts, travel details, volunteer signups, program registrations, signed waivers, and any documents you upload.
Player information. Entered by team staff — not by players. Typically a name, jersey number and position. What is published to a public page is limited to a first name and last initial.
Viewers and subscribers. An email address, and which team it was given access to or subscribed for.
Payment details. Handled entirely by Stripe. We receive a customer reference and whether the subscription is current. We never receive or store card numbers.
Technical records. Ordinary server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — kept to operate the service and investigate abuse.

We do not run advertising trackers, analytics scripts or third-party pixels on any page, including team pages.

What we use it for

Running the service, and publishing what your staff choose to publish.
Sending the email you would expect: staff invitations, notice that you have been given access to a team, updates to subscribers who asked for them, and billing receipts from Stripe. Every subscription email carries an unsubscribe link.
Keeping accounts secure, and investigating abuse or misuse.
Fixing problems and improving leaguify.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. There is no version of this where we do.
We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We do not use your team’s content to advertise to your families.
We do not open the documents your team uploads, except when you ask us for support and give us permission, or where the law requires it.

Running leaguify means storing data somewhere and delivering email somehow. These providers process information on our behalf, under contract, only to deliver the service — they may not use it for anything of their own:

Beyond those providers, we disclose information only in these situations:

When the law requires it — a subpoena, court order or other legal obligation. Where we are permitted to tell you, we will.
To protect someone — if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent harm to a child or to anyone else.
If leaguify changes hands. If the service is ever sold or merged, information would transfer with it, and the buyer would be bound by this policy. If they intended to change it, you would be told first and given the chance to delete your team’s data.

Children’s information

leaguify is built for youth sports, so it holds information about minors. That deserves to be spelled out plainly.

Children do not create accounts. There is no open sign-up. Accounts are created by invitation, and invitations go to adults — managers, coaches and parents.
Information about a player is entered by their team’s staff in the course of running the team. We do not collect it from children directly, and we do not ask children for information at any point.
Public rosters are limited by design to a first name, last initial, jersey number and position. Teams can also restrict the entire page to approved viewers.
Teams may post photos or game video. Whether to do that, and whose permission is needed first, is the team’s decision and responsibility. If you want something taken down, your team’s staff can remove it immediately, and you can write to us.

If you are a parent or guardian and want your child’s information corrected or removed, ask your team’s manager or coach — they can do it themselves in a minute — or write to us at support@leaguify.io and we will take care of it.

Cookies

We set only the cookies needed to sign you in, keep you signed in, and prevent forged requests. There are no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics anywhere on leaguify.io. Clearing them signs you out; nothing else breaks.

How we protect it

Everything is encrypted in transit, and the database and file storage are encrypted at rest.
Uploaded documents live in private storage and are served only through short-lived links to people your team has authorized.
Access is scoped to a team: staff can only reach the teams they belong to.
Sign-in is handled by a managed identity provider, so passwords never touch our systems.

No service can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the appropriate authorities as required by law, and we will tell you what we know rather than the least we can get away with.

How long we keep it

We keep your team’s data for as long as the subscription is active. If you cancel, we hold it for up to twelve months so a team can pick back up the following season, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner and we will. Routine backups age out on their own shortly after. Records we are required to keep for tax or accounting — invoices, for instance — are retained as long as the law requires.

Your choices

See or correct your information. Most of it you can edit yourself in the staff portal. For anything else, write to us.
Delete it. Ask, and we will delete your account and your team’s data. If you are a parent asking about a player, see the section above.
Stop the email. Every subscription email has an unsubscribe link. Account email — an invitation, a billing receipt — comes with the account.
State privacy rights. Residents of some states have specific rights to access, correct, delete and port their information, and to be free of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell or target-advertise anyone’s information, and we honor access, correction and deletion requests from everyone, wherever you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change is material — a new category of information, or a new reason we would share it — we will say so on the site and email account holders before it takes effect.
