Terms of Use

1. This agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and leaguify (“we,” “us”) covering your use of leaguify at leaguify.io, including every team page hosted on it. By creating an account, paying for a plan or using a team page, you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a team, club or business, you confirm you are authorized to do so, and “you” means that organization.

Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.

2. Accounts and access

• You must be 18 or older to hold an account. Children do not get accounts on leaguify.
• There is no open sign-up. The person who starts a team becomes its administrator and decides who else gets access — staff who can edit, and viewers who can see a gated page.
• Managing that list is your responsibility, including removing people who leave the team. A gate is only as good as the list behind it.
• Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has used your account without permission.

3. Plans, billing and cancellation

• leaguify is a paid service with two ways to pay: a monthly subscription or a season pass. The plan and price are shown at checkout before you pay, and payment is processed by Stripe — we never handle your card details.
• A monthly subscription renews automatically each month, using the payment method on file, until you cancel.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time. Your team keeps access through the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not billed again.
• A season pass is a single payment and does not renew. It covers twelve months from the day it is paid. Before it ends we email reminders with a renewal link, and nothing is charged unless someone pays again. Fourteen days after it ends, the staff portal becomes read-only until the pass is renewed; the public team page stays up.
• Payments, including a season pass, are not refundable for a period already begun, except where the law requires a refund or where we decide one is fair — for instance if we have plainly failed to deliver the service. Ask us; we are reasonable.
• If a payment fails we may suspend access to the staff portal until it is resolved. We will email you first.
• We may change prices. Existing subscribers get at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change applies to them, and can cancel before it takes effect.
• Prices exclude any taxes that apply where you are; those are added at checkout where required.

4. Your content

Everything your team puts into leaguify — schedules, rosters, lineups, posts, documents, photos, video links — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.

You give us the permission we need to actually run the service on your behalf: to store your content, to display it to the people you have chosen (publicly, or to approved viewers if the page is gated), and to include it in the email your subscribers asked for. That permission exists for the purpose of operating leaguify for you, and for nothing else. It ends when you delete the content or close your account.

5. Youth safety and your responsibilities

This is a product about children’s teams, so this section matters more than the rest.

• You must have the right to post what you post, including any information, photograph or video of a minor, and you are responsible for obtaining whatever consent your club, league or local law requires before posting it.
• Do not post sensitive personal information — medical records, government identifiers, financial account details — about a player or anyone else. leaguify is not built to hold it.
• Do not use leaguify to harass, threaten, bully or endanger anyone, to post unlawful or abusive content, or to violate anyone’s privacy or intellectual property.
• Do not attempt to access another team’s data, probe or interfere with the service, or use it to send unsolicited bulk email.
• We may remove content or suspend access if we believe these rules have been broken. Where a child’s safety is involved, we will act immediately and ask questions after.

6. Public and gated pages

Content your team publishes to a public page is visible to anyone with the link and may be indexed by search engines. Content on a gated page is limited to the viewers your staff have approved. Choosing which of those applies to your team is your decision, and you can change it at any time.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep leaguify available and current, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may take it down for maintenance, and we may add, change or remove features as the product develops. If we remove something your team depends on, we will give you notice where we reasonably can.

8. Third-party services and links

leaguify connects to things we do not control: league calendar feeds, scoring and video services, hotel booking links, and any site your staff link to. We are not responsible for those services, their content or their availability, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

9. Ending the agreement

• You can cancel your subscription or close your account at any time.
• We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if payment fails and is not resolved, or if we are required to by law.
• After an account ends, your team’s data is retained for the period described in our Privacy Policy and then deleted. Before that, you can ask us for a copy of your team’s data and we will provide it.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

leaguify is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure against every threat, or that data imported from a third-party calendar or scoring service will be accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill, arising out of your use of leaguify.

Our total liability for any claim relating to leaguify is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case, they apply to the greatest extent permitted.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising out of content your team posts, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone’s rights — including a claim that you posted information or images of a minor without the necessary permission.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and both of us consent to their jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please email us. Nearly everything is faster to fix than to litigate.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product changes. The date at the top will always reflect the current version. If a change is material, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use leaguify after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, you can cancel.

15. General

• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is limited to the minimum extent necessary.
• Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
• You may not transfer this agreement without our consent. We may transfer it in connection with a merger or sale of the service, subject to the notice described in our Privacy Policy.
• These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about leaguify.
